Recently, just after the conclusion of F1 2024 season Checo announced his departure from Red Bull, where he secured five wins and played a key role in helping the Milton Keynes-based team clinch two Constructors' Championships in 2022 and 2023. Shortly after, Red Bull confirmed that New Zealand's Liam Lawson would join the team to drive alongside Max Verstappen for the 2025 season.

And, on Thursday the final seat on the 2025 Formula One grid was booked by the Frenchman Isack Hadjar who has been chosen to fill Lawson's seat at the Racing Bulls.

Also, there’s good news for Valtteri Bottas fans who were disheartened to see him retire early in the Sauber car at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which many believed was the end of his F1 career. But now, Mercedes has brought him back as a reserve driver, meaning it's not the end for the Finnish driver just yet. He’s returning to the Silver Arrows, the team where he won his first Grand Prix in 2017 in Russia and enjoyed a successful partnership alongside Lewis Hamilton until 2021.

The first major new face for the 2025 season is Kimi Antonelli, who will join the Silver Arrows alongside George Russell. But it's not just his move to Mercedes that turns heads—it's the fact that the 18-year-old Italian is replacing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, which has raised more than a few eyebrows. Antonelli is making his Formula 1 debut after earning a promotion from Mercedes' junior team.

Gabriel Bortoleto

The 20-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto is making his F1 debut with Sauber in 2025. For the question, how good is he? He was the Formula 3 champion last year and also clinched a back-to-back title after finishing second in the Formula 2 season finale at Yas Marina.

Jack Doohan

Jack Doohan, who served as the 2024 reserve driver for BWT Alpine and raced in the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in place of Esteban Ocon, will join the Renault-powered Alpine team as a full-time driver for the 2025 season. The 21-year-old Australian is the son of five-time MotoGP champion Mick Doohan.

Isack Hadjar

The 20-year-old French driver Isack Hadjar is making his debut with Racing Bulls, replacing Liam Lawson, who has moved up to drive with the four-time world champion. Hadjar was the runner-up in the F2 championship in 2024.

Oliver Bearman

Ollie isn't a new face, is he? Everyone saw how great this 19-year old from Chelmsford was at the 2024 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, where he replaced ill Carlos Sainz at Ferrari. The then 18-year-old finished seventh at Jeddah Circuit starting from 11th on the grid. He served the role of reserve driver for both Ferrari and Haas this season but will make full-time debut in 2025 for Haas driving alongside Ocon.

Liam Lawson

Also, Lawson isn't a new face, but he will be fresh on the front lines as he joins Red Bull for the 2025 season. The New Zealander has already gained some experience, having raced in 11 Grands Prix across the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Lawson made his F1 debut in 2023, to replace the injured Daniel Ricciardo for five races with AlphaTauri (rebranded as Racing Bulls). He then continued in 2024, replacing the Australian for the final six rounds after Daniel was dropped.

The pre-season testing for the 2025 F1 season is set to take place from February 26-28 at the Bahrain International Circuit, giving teams just three days to fine-tune their preparations for the new campaign.
