MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Romina is no longer directly affecting Kalayaan Islands, prompting the lifting of all Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

In its 5 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Romina was last located 165 kilometers west of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

It was packing a maximum wind speed of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 70 kph while moving northwestward at 10 kph.

Romina “is expected to continue moving away from Kalayaan Islands while heading towards the eastern coast of Vietnam,” said Pagasa.

The federal and state governments’ tax revenue reached a total of 86.2 billion euros ($93.54 billion) last month, according to the ministry’s monthly report.

Romina may develop into a tropical storm within the next few hours.

However, it may weaken into a tropical depression on Monday night or Tuesday early morning.

“It may further weaken into a remnant low as it approaches Vietnam,” Pag-asa added.
