My car won't start, so I check the power distribution box. Does any body know how replace a fuse at the power distribution box? I believe that there is a fuse at the power distribution box. I get 12V at the battery terminals but 0V between (+) terminal of power distribution box and the ground terminal of the battery. I have a problem. During my amp install the positive wire touched the frame of the car and the amp turned off. The fuse on the amp didnt blow and the amp turns on when i connect the power from point A on the picture. But from point B i am not getting any power. I am guessing there is a fuse i the distribution block, Can anyone verify that?
Ok, small update so it was on the side of the road and I had a buddy coming with a trailer, I had tried to jump start it from the back directly on the battery and it wouldn't start so looked over everything connected to the battery and everything in the engine bay I could get to without seeing any big problems, then a friend suggested that since I knew the battery was . Power cable runs to the JBE. You need to check for continuity there. Also, the car has an auto-shut off of power in the event of an accident. It is a sensor located on the battery. No matter what you do, if you don't replace this , the car will never start. You may not have had an accident, but maybe this sensor is faulty. The key then doesn't pop out because the electronics are "hung". Anyway, I solved the problem by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. I made the mistake by trying to disconnect the positive. That took a long time, dropped a nut behind the battery, ended up having to take out the battery, etc.. This works if the fuse of the Power Distribution Box (the flat panel attached over the battery) hasn't blown. WHY IT WORKS: Stud 6 is directly connected to B+ portion of the positive battery cable, whereas stud 7 and the jump prong is connected to .
