I also run a dedicated 12 ga. extension cord from the pedistal, through the slide opening, just to power the heater so as to not overload the power panel in the fiver. Someone mentioned a power management box that shuts off the fireplace if the microwave is turned on by accident. But I have power to the plug behind the fireplace.
