convert ceiling rose to junction box

I have to install two circuits in a block wall for a blender and a refrigerator. I would use a 2 gang masonary box in the void of the block. My question is what is the best way to cut out the block. The other is do you use a mortar mix to secure the box in the wall?

I currently have a ceiling rose (loop lighting system) that i am going to relpace with a light without a rose. I have access from above so i am installing a junction box in the ceiling and then just wiring up the new light to the junction box.I want to replace a pendant light fitting with a flourescent fitting. The present loop-in . I am trying to replace a ceiling rose (with a loop I believe) to a more decorative light. Pictures of both attached. I am guessing that I need a forth junction box to sit inside the light . I decided to tidy up the wiring to my WC/Shower cloak room using a Wago Junction Box 224-112 and Wago connectors to replace the ceiling rose. The circuit to be:- The Earth .

If you have access to the loft space above the bathroom, then the best method is to use a junction box, screwed to a joist and for the cables to be clipped to the joist, to prevent . I thought that as long as you used the boxes along with the connectors (used properly), and fixed the box to the ceiling timbers with the little button they supply, it could be treated as a maintenance-free junction box. Might be better with a junction box above ceiling level with only the switched live, neutral and earth coming through the ceiling. Junction box still needs to be accessible though ( .

You can just wire it in a junction box above the ceiling and then connect the two wires to the new fitting. You can use wagos, but you do need to know what you are doing in both cases! 1

Wiring a ceiling rose from a junction box is fairly simple. As there is only 1 cable that runs from the junction box to the ceiling rose, the neutral connects to the neutral loop in terminal, the live to the live loop in terminal and the earth to the . I cant just replace it with the new fitting and use the current ceiling rose plate - As the new IP44 light fitting is double insulated, this leaves no room for the ceiling rose plate as it .
