electric tool box $59.26 So far, the one product I've found that works on already rusted sheet metal is a Rustoleum product called (geez, can't remember, but will update when I get home and look at the bottle again). Using a small brush, I painted it on any rusty metal that I see and it turns into a shiny hard black thing. Almost looks like lacquer.

Well after 3 months of fooling around I finally got it done. It is a motorized tool box. I have been working at my present job almost 3 years and ever since I got here I have wanted to build a self propelled tool box. our plant is quite large and there is a difference of 10 feet between 2 building connected by a long ramp and loading dock are halfwy between. I am running it off of a 60 hp converter, plus i have a wm 15hp twin blade edger and a sawdust blower and my electric bill is between to a month. I am saving a ton of money compared to burning 5 gallons of diesel a day! Isn't very hard to figure the most economical option. So you might want to consider the electric. Hope this helps! I had an old hay/grain elevator that was 40 ft long it had a gas engine on it when I got it , I put an electric motor (1.5 hp) on it I also made a mounting plate with a hyd motor that I found in a junk yard connected it with a chain . Norwood HD36, Husky 372xp xtorq, 550xp mk2 , 460 rancher, Kubota l2501, Case 1845 skid steer, I have been happy with my dust chain running off of a 1/2 horse motor and a reduction box. The electric motor allows me to run the chain when the mill is off. Nice to do when cleaning up around the mill. I had the chain running off the mandrel to start with and I much prefer to have it electric. Tripp Most common mistake is the work not held ridged. Several have touched on it but I want to make it clear that it is near impossible to sharpen a chain correctly unless it is held ridged, either off the saw or on the saw. In the shop I sharpen on the saw in the big bench vise. In the field a stump vise is a nice thing to have in the tool box.
This is temporary, like a year or maybe two before I buy a wide electric mill or change this one over to electric. I need to exhaust the gases from my 19hp Kohler gas motor on the mill outside. I've found 2.5" garage exhaust hoses online in 11ft sections. Hunz, them wheel chair motors have a built-in gear box that cuts the rpm way down. Still might be a little wimpy on 12 volts. I think the feed motor on my woodmizer is 1/4 hp running through a gear box .
I started wondering if getting an M18 version is a good idea? I found the tool only for 7 on amazon. I already have M12 abd M18 so not interested in any other batteries. I never grease anything because I have a fair weather grease gun. It only pumps grease when it wants to. I have heard the electric ones will actually prime and move grease.
